just found out that the
Back to the news-page
Xecuter 360 Connectivity Kits dont work with the samsung drive wont a $#!t .
Edit: Debug mode (modeb) currently works with the Hitachi drive - we are investigating a method for the Samsung drive. Also we have noticed Hitachi is detected in windows but not in DVD Info Pro so unable to send custom commands at the moment so you will still need to flash the 0800 firmware, however once this adapter is in the hands of the firmware hackers we are sure that better tools will be available.

Sounds like mtkflash is detecting your drive fine. Make sure the command you are typing is currect.
To backup type mtkflash r /m backup.bin
Then to flash type mtkflash w /m xtreme.bin
Make sure you backup first, then insert your key into xtreme.bin. (if the file your flashing is named something other then xtreme.bin make sure to change that to the currect name while typing the command)

Theres a space between r and /m, thats why your getting errors. Raid is fine, set it the same way as when you got the fail to input error.

Are you sure you setup the exact same way as when you got the failed to open input file error?
r = read or dump firmware w = write the firmware to drive /m = I believe selects all banks

Try again, your chipset is 100% compatible with mtkflash. Turn your 360 off and on between each try.
Make sure bios settings are the same as when you got the first error, failed to input file.

The Connectivity kit don't matter, don't press any buttons you might break your drive if you haven't already..

You got to the point where it detected the flash type "flash type :"(sstcsst39sf020)" That means it was working fine at that point exept your commands were off, so you must be doing something wrong now. Don't know what else to tell you but keep trying. Try selecting all options it gives you after typing the command. You can also try editing mtkflash but I doubt its needed if it detects the flash type.. Tutorial on editing mtkflash here: http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/tutorial/xbox360firmwaretutorialv18.pdfIt takes more then 2 seconds to backup the firmware.

ok i have done my friends box and now working on my new one ,so i dont want to brick my one now again like i did my other one. this is very hard for me to tell you what i mean but i will try ,
Ok i am not useing the kdx program as i did my friends one with a hex editor ,and works great ,nut now with my one i have run in to a problem , in the hex program i back up from 4000 to 4200 ,but when i past it back the the xtreme.BIN file i endup two bit of code missing on the end ,in the backup copy there is a number 20 , and in the next row from that one there is a blank space , but when copying that the xtreme.BIN file the number 20 becomes FF and the blank space becomes y , so i was wondering what is wrong and need help before saveing the files and flashing the drive as i dont want a brick ..
thank uu

Just use kdx 1.5, and open the firmware with you buddies key in it and paste your key into that. It will work flawlessly. You can't brick a Samsung unless you plug the power cable in backwards or something dumb. You can always reflash no matter what so don't worry about it.
Make sure you backup your firmware first in a few safe places, so you don't lose your key!
Edit: Also try posting in already made topics. I can find your questions just as easy if you post in your previous topic.
Thanks
