Semi nwebie 360 flashing out of touch wish to catch up

as the title says its been a couple of years since I last flashed a 360. so Im way out of date. I'm finding it confusing to know whats relevant and whats been 'obsoleted' can some one recomend a link to an update guide?

Cheers , Dont mind reading or earning knowledge by working at learning . It was just a little difficult to make sense of what was still current and what wasnt.
