Upgrade Your VIA 6421 to dump 0225/0401... Slim Lite-On!

OK,so if you are using a via 6421 sata card and  want to dump Lite-On Slim 0225/0401...Drives,here is the solution that will help you .I have

successfully dumped 0225 & 0401 slim drives with de following setup:

IDE to Sata converter(JM20330) Model:PD620-V2.2 connected to the IDE PORT OF VIA 6421 PCI Sata Card.

Dumping's not the problem, it's unlocking!

Good idea though, I'm going to give it a try, the port is proly compatible with the 'Russian method'

I Know,but  this mod is intended to make possible dump the related slim drives without usb-to-sata adapters like Lizard or UsbPro...Not unlock spi.

Before you proceed make sure that:

 IDE>Sata converter is the same model (IC JM20330),the jumper/key are configured as shown on video 1.

 Your drive is connected to sata and power cables.

 You have good Drive Properties and if  the box "VIA ports only" is checked on tab DVDKey 32.

Now try this:

 1-On JungleFlasher select DVDKey 32 tab.

 2-Click on SlimKey button,then you will see"Do you wish to send Unlock to Slim" message.

 3-Select "NO" and let JF do the job.(if for some reason after you have selected"NO" JF shows "MTK Vendor Intro failed" go to step 4).

 4-When you get the MTK Vendor intro failed prompt asking"If you wish to REsend the command you should click yes...",select YES then power cycle the   

drive as fast as you can and wait while JF grab the files to you.now save the files and JF Log on a secure place to avoid "desperate posts".

I see. I only have the Via 6421, so if I can avoid buying a USB Pro or Lizard, I'll give this method a shot.

So, will this adapter work? I couldn`t find any information about the chipset in the description.
