hey guys,since now microsoft has launched a 320gb limited edition GOW3 console does this mean we will be able to flash our hacked drives to 320gb since we have been only limited to 250gb?

You do know that it's only just now been announced, and will be released when Gears 3 comes out in September right?

Once it is out, yes. Just use HDDHacker with the new SS and you will be good to go.

Well, it's out in the wild now.

Only thing I have to wait and see is if HDDHackr needs to be revised to allow it to happen.

UPDATE: I've successfully upgraded my Xbox 360 hard drive to 320GB. HDDHackr doesn't need to be updated to install the new security sector. You can also use Xplorer360 Extreme2 to restore the second partition to play original Xbox games (it'll read the drive).

interesting

i read on xbox-scene that some guy had tried to use an hdss.bin from a slim 250gb drive, and hddhackr extracted the hdss.bin ok, but when he flashed it to a WD, the drive wasnt recognised, as if m$ had introduced some new security feature to the drives.

seems they havent for the slim 320gb!

Tested new 320gb bin today all working fine with current hddhackr and new slim western digital Scorpio bev.
