Hi Guys!
Keep in mind that i'm new to copying xbox games Smiley

I have been trying to copy Mortal Kombat 2011 from a original disk to my computer, and then burn it onto a Dual layer disc.
But all the software i find seem to be outdated (or maybe i'm using it wrong).

I have tryed: Wx ripper (it seamed to be working fine, but then the .iso was only about 3.8 gb), abgx360(to try and patch it anyways), 360waves patcher( which didn't even seem to reconize the .iso as an xbox game)

Can anyone plz tell me how to copy this damn game???

you need either:

1. a samsung dvd rom drive flashed with kreon fw

or

2. an xbox 360 dvd rom (BENQ, Liteon) flashed with 0800 fw

then use Xbox Backup Creator 2.9 to rip the game

wxripper is outdated by about 4 years lol useless method

Don't forget Samsungs work as well and it's equivalente to a Kreon (poor security rips).

And don't forget to always check and fix isos using ABGX360 prior to burning.

Hmmm...
Is there any way to copy games without modding the Pc dvd drive?
I have a modded xbox but i'm only going to copy this one game. Would it perhaps be easyer to just download a second game?

No there isn't. Either use an xbox drive in the PC as stated by Gazcoigne and nknave or get a Kreon drive. If there was another way it would have been mentioned.
Downloading games off the net is piracy, whether you own a retail copy or not. You would be doing well not to mention it again on the forum.

Is there any component in the xbox i should be extra careful about?
Also, is there any kabels i need or does the xbox drive run on SATA?

you dont wanna be using your consoles drive, as you have to reflash the fw on the drive, you would have to reflash it every time you wanted to rip a disc.

xbox 360 dvd rom's are easily sourced and not that expensive.

hit ebay and get one, flash it with 0800 fw and you are good to go.

the drives are sata yes but use custom power connectors, so you will have to obtain a powersource (google ck3)

dont use your console as it will record a flag that it has booted with no dvd drive attached, could lead to a ban.

if you have an old 360 mobo lying around you can use it to power the drive of course.

The thing is that i'm probably only going to be ripping this one disc. I'm normally not a console player.
I think the reflash sound more like what i need.
Btw. I'm not even sure my current flash is not outdated. How do i find out? And i would also like to know more about flashing Wink
