Hey Everybody,

First off, I am so glad I found this site. I hope that you guys will be able to answer some of my questions and that i will be able to help others once I also learn what I am doing.

I recently bought a modded original XBOX in a garage sale. I opened it up when I got home to find what chip was inside and I found yours. When I boot up the XBOX I see the xbox logo as well as XECUTOR 2 below it. Than I see the EVO X dashboard screen. So far so good. I recently tried a burned copy of Halo and the copy worked perfectly.

I than proceeded to try my own game "Enter the Matrix" and it was unable to play the game at all. Just kept re-booting to the home screen. The disc would not load.

I also am not able to save my games to the right drive. It says the drive is full when I have plenty of space on the other partition. Is there a way to change the partition with this software?

Is there a software update I need to do? bio flash? something??? Can I start up the XBOX with the chip not working?
How do I install new emulators onto my xbox hard drive? Do I need to open the drive and connect the drive or is there a way I can do it over ethernet cable?

Sorry guys, I am a BIG newbie to this whole modded xbox ordeal
Attached you will find a picture of the chip I found when i opened up my XBOX

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

For some reason I can't upload a pic of my mod chip. Keeps giving me an error.

On the chip it says

SST
49LF020
33-4C-NH
0249244-A

no switches of any kind. On top of a small green board attached to the main circuit board.

hope that helps. sorry the uploader isn't working properly

You can only save savegames on e:, that's the hardcoded savedata partition. Chances are the laser was tweaked in the past to improve reading of backups, and ended up unable to read originals.. the laser is probably not the best anymore and may need replacement.

You can connect via ethernet, evox has an ftp server built in.

How do I clear up space on the E partition? Is there a tutorial on this site on how to connect your computer with an ethernet cord/ftp using evoX?

I played another original game and it worked fine....I am not sure if it's the laser. Than again, the system is very old, so its quite possible.

Thanks for your help thus far Arakon.

I doubt he still needs to play the game after 8 months.
