So got a new xbox today. It was manufacturer in Jan of 2009, has hdmi and has the Blades Dashbaord.

Pretty positive it can be jtag.

Okay it's a jasper.

What is the best way to do this one? I jtag an xenon that was simple. I looked up jasper but it looked a little harder and was talking about the nand size. Not sure which nand size it is.

Is using the ROL the best point?

Gota new box??? Omedetou Gozaimasu !

kidding...

pretty much possible to be jtag friendly  Grin

best wiring does not involve ARGON_DATA anymore (rol board) best spot suggested is AUD_CLAMP instead of ROL, the other one stills DB1F1 or any clone, check the JTAG guides if not familiar.

If you ever did a jtag before, you should know better that ROL is deprecated.

if you have a friend with a Jasper with the alternative wiring already, ask for the 1st 80 blocks, flash it instead of Xell (make backups 1st of curse, at least 2 or 3 matching copies), this will give you bad keyvault, take your CPU key, extract your own SMC, customize it, create freeboot with this smc.bin you just customized, y a volar!!!
be warned, it will give a false possitive Rrod though xell will still work.

This will save some time, is a technique I use

DON'T FORGET TO APPLY VERY SAME WIRING TO YOUR BOX IF USING SOMEONE ELSE'S XELL, OR IT WILL E79

you don't need CPU Key from the other box for this to work.

I know no one with jasper jatg. It's the 256mb nand one.

Not software part i'm worried, just never done jtag on anything other then xenon. I'm buy transistors today and use BoxxDr method or what is Blackaddr method. which is the aud_clap way.

thanks for the reply I read a lot there so many guides hard to find the best way.

Use Jtag Tool, this tool is very simple to use...
I hope you have an USB Spi Flasher or a Olimex, because, with this Big Nand, you must take some hours if you use the LPT connection Wink

Converting to small block flash isn't too hard Tongue
In the long run it even pays off as it's much easier to deal with a small block console than with a large block console. The built in MU is not worth the hassle.

To convert:

Take an scrap mobo with small block nand, connect it to the SPI programmer...
Erase it's flash (or dump if you still need it's data for something else but don't forget to erase it before moving to the jasper)
Unsolder the Jasper flash (after you obtained an dump from it's OS partition for KV and smc_config as these are the only data you really need)
Solder the small block flash chip to your JASPER motherboard
Modify the configuration resistors row to match that the original board for the flash you took was like.

Generate a new dump with the rebooter imaging tool (fbbuild) set to jaspersb (jasper small block) and flash the 16MB image you will get.

Huh

Profit.

That would be awesome but I don't  have any of my equipment.

No extra xbox, spi flasher in georgia.

So what would be the best way to get it done?

I done the boxxdr method with transistors. The flash is dumping right now over LPT and is taking for ever.
