I had a few customers ring me to advise me that their banned consoles connected back to xbox live. One had a banned Jtag and when he switched his Harddrive from his none hacked console, the jtag console connected to live and asked to be updated. Has anyone else had this happen. Could some people test some banned 360's.

I wondered the same thing, so I tested it, I had a console that had been marked for banning ( anytime I transferred saved games or my profile to it from another console it would be corrupted) but I could still play online, so I dissconected it from live cause I knew a ban was coming. So I heard the news today and decided to plug in my console and try it, not only did it update fine, but now my console no longer corrupts my profile or save games, my console has been unbanned it appears Smiley

If true, might be a quick response to the PSN hacked account mess and M$ see's a way of converting previously banned & pissed off customers back to Live - Or the the new Dash/disk format may be released soon and the only way to get it is through xbox live. Who Know's, need more people to test banned consoles.

Maybe they are only unbanning consoles they know will be flashed back to a retail drive FW when updated or will fail the update anyway. Just a wild speculation.
Also I have seen consoles marked for banning lasting more than a year and still not be banned, so I don't think anything is certain.
