Hi everyone, ive got a few xboxes that I thought its about time I get rid of them and one I remember why I didnt sell, it e71's with anything higher than 8955 XBR.

If I put the stock dash back in it's fine, the 8955 xbr dash created with the old plexo xbr flasher works too but If i put anything higher it will e71.

I had a search and found it could be something to do with bad blocks and the nand dumps I have do have bad blocks at 0a8 and 1a8. IIRC I used to use the badblock remapper and flash tool states that they are already remapped to different locations 3fe and 3ff. I saw that its best to remap them to 3E0 onwards so I manually moved them to 3E0 and 3E1 and nulled out 0a8 and 0a1 but still get the e71 error Huh

Do I need to null out the previously remapped locations @ 3fe and 3ff and when I checked my manually remapped and nulled image it still said there were bad blocks at 0a8 and 1a8.

Any ideas? thanks.

Could you send me the original dash + cpu key? I'm going to prepare the rebooter for you.

problem defo lies with bad blocks

FYI blocks are remapped to 3FF for a 16mb, then backwards for rest eg 3FF, 3FE, 3FD etc

flash360 DOES NOT handle bad blocks correctly and will corrupt the nand forcing a rewrite over USB/LPT.

You can use 3E0 and move foward without any issues as well.

I have sent the rebooter to him, saying to use NAND Flasher 1.2.0 (xex version).
