i create a dir on c:\ called 360

then put all nandpro files in there

make sure you install the drivers if you are using LPT

then i copy the cmd.exe from the windows dir to c:\ and run it

Sorry to tell you, but if you do not even know the basics of a command prompt you'll probably gonna break your xbox...

Do not attempt this any further until you learn a little more my friend ;-)

It's very simple to read your nand. Just make sure you install the port95nt.exe (if running vista or 7 set it for compatibility mode for xp.)  otherwise you won't be able to access your xbox via printer connection.

Plug your Xbox 360 in, but don't power it on.
Plug the lpt cable in
Pop open cmd and change directories to your nandpro folder
type nandpro lpt: -r16 nand.bin
It will start to dump, this will take 35 minutes
Type nandpro lpt: -r16 nand2.bin and dump it a second time.

Here is a great tutorial that I used when I first learned how to jtag.

i can read my nand just fine.did it twice no errors and total commander said there were the same.when i type nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 kv.bin 1 1 i get the lil grey windows box saying that windows cant open this file search the net or browse to find a program.i looked but couldn't find a answer.any help would be great.ok so i got it to write xell to my box now when i boot it up i get a green blinking light for about 20 seconds the 3 red lights. while it was writing xell it only went to block 004f is that  right?

im  flashing my original nand back now to see it it will boot up normally.with all the wires soldered in place will it boot normally?

ok flashed org nand back remover just the jtag wires and it booted fine.so i dumped the nand 3 times to get matching dumps flashed xell with nandpro20d turned on box and now i get e79.

You should REALLY REALLY consider giving it to someone else. XBR is history and by the sounds of it you are trying to directly open the binary file with Windows, instead of giving it as an argument to NandPro. E79 is common in JTAG's with bad wiring or f***ed up FS. Check that the console you have is actually JTAG-able and redo your wiring using transistors (hint hint: BlackAddr).
