samsung ms25 problems. maybe replace

So i just flashed a samsung ms25 with jungle flasher and newest fw. First off my tray does not always eject. But most importantly when i put a backup in it reads and says open tray 50% of the time the other 50% it boots the game and freezes before title screen or on some it gets to title screen and once i press A or start to continue it loads forever 50% or says restart console cant read might be dirty. I just want to make this work. If not Can i replace the dvd and what is involved? thanks

problem is dirty drive and dead laser

samsung always stick when ejecting, problem is if you leave it with no disc in drive the spindle becomes magnetised and the attraction between the top disc clip and the spindle becomes greater, and the tray cant drop then stopping the tray ejecting. this can be observed if you tap the top of the console slightly as the LED blinks during the eject attempt it will open. keep a disc in the drive to stop this happening.

open the dvd drive and clean it, then replace the laser

or else you could replace the drive entirely but you would need a brand new samsung and you would need to flash your fw to it obviously

So i decided to buy a new dvd drive (cleaning did'nt work, laser was more than new drive). From my understanding i can just swap out the circut board and i wont have to flash. I wonder if it matters if the new drive is ms25 or ms28 as i dont get a choice. I hope i can just swap board put in and works.

Doesn't matter, that's just the firmware version, the hardware is identical.
