Hi all.

What's the opinion on having a "front page" again? Thoughts?

The forums always were the highlight ever since the site began almost 10 years ago (whoa!?).

Other than a bieber pic, what else would people be interested in on a front page? :-p

Here's a super-sloppy mashup of stuff that I can pull in from the forums. It looks like crap, no need to state that :-)

Clearly, most of this is not needed. Was thinking of maybe just showing a few recent threads and perhaps latest announcements/"news" board postings. And, forum login + search or something.

Why not keep it simple and have the last handful of forum posts in full.  That way everyone can see the latest activity rather than having to enter each forum individually.

I think you both are onto something, I always hit show unread posts since last visit when I show up.

I'm currently pretty happy with the RSS feeds for the site but that only gives the last 20 posts. The front page idea could be useful.
