What would be some upgrade/stuff I could do to lower temps and stray away from RROD? Any one have any idea of fans, or anything like that I should by?

I have replaced thermal compound. It was a RROD. I replaced thermal and used bolts to hold the heat sink down. I didn't over heat the system, tighten the bolts they're pretty loose and right after it booted and been great ever since. I just like some ideas to prolong the life of this xbox.

Overheating is BS, and what you are doing is loosely holding together broken solder connections. That won't last. If you really want to prolong the life of the console, have it reballed with lead-containing solder.

Reball and believe it or not but the tin foil mode drop the temp a good 3-10 degrees.
I've tested this on xenons, falcons and jaspers.
only 3-5 degrees on a xenon 5-10 on both the jasper and falcons. Added fans and holes in the cases helps too!

Tin foil?

Also to Arakon. I didn't have to "force" it down. Only I think it was the thermal compound. I replaced and barely tighten the bolts and it worked great.

I don't know any one who can reball.

Sorry but I can't stop laughing Grin

Nothing like that is needed if you put a v2 GPU heatsink (with heatpipe) and tinker with the automatic adjusting temps. Put it to run at 50-60 degree Celsius and you're fine.

The fun will last for years.

I didn't tinker with my live XBOX360 flash for obvious reasons but I did put the fans at 100% with a hardware mod when the console was new (years ago) and look it now... It still works ...  No holes drilled, even.

Cheesy

But it sounds like a JET ENGINE D:

Well, water cooling cool but I don't want to spend much honestly as I don't use the jtag to often. It's in the bedroom, honestly only jtag it cause it was exploitable and I like to solder.

I don't have an hard drive, flashed xtreme to play my backups.

As said I don't want to spend to much cause then that cuts into me buying games, plus got a move coming up.

100% My wife would flip over the jet engine sound.

I'll try and get a v2 heatsink.

Also those replacement fans by Talismoon any good?

Well what you could have done is you could have used the other side panel of the xbox like meh....

and used the top and bottom holes as a guide. Then just use a sharpie or something to mark where you need to drill.
That would look much nicer.  Grin

The best and easiest way is to open your xbox.
just the top part. (side part if vertical)
super glue the front panel and the sides (top and bottom)
then just let it sit in the open while playing.
reverse the polarity of the internal fans.
and aim your bed side fan (or any small fan) at the heatsinks.
and your all set.
^^
I did the same with this old RROD
before
it would RROD every 10 minutes.
Id bake it and then play 10 minutes
now it has a 0001 error from all the baking^^
but i got a couple hours out of it...
and the temps never hit 30°
