the latest dashlaunch has the ping patch built in, no need to do anything to the fbuild process

just install the latest dashlaunch after you flash the freeboot image.

I believe you still need to set the ping patch to true. in the ini file

It's a xex.  You run it (from xexmenu or freestyle dash or ....) and it installs itself.

very true, but another way to set it is when you run the default.xex of dashlaunch and choose to set the settings, you are prompted to set the patch with a yes/no input

How do you choose to set the settings? It has nothing but press button to install dashlaunch. Also i can find any .ini file to modify the ping patch to true (unless .ini files are invisible on a mac).

all i do is run the .xex file in the latest dashlaunch release on xbins, and it asks on the first line do you wish to set settings

if you say yes it basically asks you all the settings in the ini file and builds the launch.ini for you

if you say no it copies the launch.ini that is present in the dir of the app.

The installer needs an existing ini to work with for changing the settings, either create a blank text file on root of hdd or add a blank launch.ini to the installers file directory and it will be added to flash during the install process.
