I have a zephyr that I think it's CPU is faulty or there's something wrong with it.

I've tried the following solutions:

- Reapplied the thermal paste for more than 10 times
- Changed the heatsink for a 2nd gen
- Modified the airtunnel for better cooling

The temperature (idle) with the fan running at:
- 100% is around 70º
- 60% is around 85º

The GPU is cool, the temperature in idle at 60% is 55º.

Any ideas? I don't know anything more to try...

Did you use the original Xclamps or screws?

Replace the heatsink. The heatpipe might have leaked.

Original X-Clamps, already tried with another one, it could be damaged or not making enough pressure..

Like I said in the OP, I'm currently using a 2nd gen Heatsink, already tried with a 1st gen. It's the CPU not the GPU.
Thanks!

ive seen the CPU temp hit 70 on a few JTAGS ive done, but they were XENON not zephyr id expect to see that temp a lot lower

the CPU wouldnt work if faulty, never mind pump out more heat lol

Ok, but something is not ok.. When I play with the fan at 60º the temperature is near 95º degrees, that's too hot!!

Probably wrong, but have you manually checked the temperature? I imagine you should be able to feel a noticible heat difference between the heatsinks. It's always possible if someone has used a donar Nand it will have the wrong calibration data for the sensors.

You shouldn't let that get anywhere near 95C, the console will power off if it reaches 100C.

I applied the X-Clamp Fix to the CPU and it's ok now. Idle with fans in auto: 60º.
It was the pressure I'm sure.

Thanks everyone!

Just mentioning, for the x-clamp to work properly, you need to put the 4 screws on the bottom.
