Flashing LT+ to drive with split personality

This is very similar to a post below but I have been advised to start a new thread,

Have Benq spoofed as Hit 79 and flashed with LT 1.2. Understand that I can't reflash with LT+ as this is not the "original drive". I just have two questions.

Can I flash with LT+ just to play AP25 back ups as I won't ever be going on line.

Is there a remote possibility that the console still thinks I'm using a Hit 79 and therfore won't be affected by the P25 protection and may even be safe when going on-line (which I won't be!).

i dont know the answer to this, but i sure would like to ... i have a friend i modded and spoofed exactly the same and he want's his box updated i dont know if it's even safe to update him..

You've already answered your own question...

You cannot spoof a different model drive as that can now be detected. With this release of LT+ you HAVE to have an original Benq or Liteon.

You could try what's posted here http://gbatemp.net/t265912-how-to-play-ap2-5-games-without-lt-all-drives it's not something i've tried myself.
