Awesome! It works! Thanks Cory and Tataniko. Ok, those with jasper"a" issues give this a go, it will make the image more closely match what big block controller expects, though I don't have any retail/clean dumps off such a jasper to confirm it is actually the proper format. fixJaspa (bandaid)use from command line like: fixjaspa.exe sourcefile.bin destfile.binbefore or after remapping your bad blocks, either should be fine. edit:/ just double checked with nandpro and it fixes the flash config to big block one as per what tataniko has been saying. Good luck with fixjaspa, I hope it helps.

keropi: Yes, a clean/untouched retail (not rebooter) dump would also be helpful if you want send one this way, no need for cpu key or anything as nothing I'm looking at needs to be decrypted. The other two I no longer require as andrez forwarded me his E71-then-dumped file (thanks again andrez!) http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=16056.msg118349#msg118349Please read you're whole post, including the quotes. If English isn't your native language and thus the source of your misunderstanding then I apologize. "PM me a link" is pretty clear though, and I've tried to be clear all along I'm trying to diagnose the problem and not just launch something else with dash launch so you can go on your merry way (hence, subvert dash.xex to get around E71 then dump flash by FTP and compare to original data - which is hopefully no longer necessary) - anything less than diagnosis is wasting both of our time.

Piggy app is even worse - i can't start it once, to set up whole dash...So FB is great now, i can start, setup, shutdown, and E71 then...
Edit: And so far i've checked - with fb 0,1 making 12611, in flash tools, i see in 0148 sector i've got about middle of dash.xex so its shiet :/ Does not work moving BS to 3fd, 3ff, 3fe, 3 bad sectors to last three sectors, and reverse move to last 3 sectors, nor 8 sectors, and worst thing is, its not beggining of dash.xex so it probly wont be possible to move it around in my xbox

Jasper 16mb, CB 6712, SB 2.3 (new southbridge, required XBR_Jasper16a_8955 in the past) Compiled freeBOOT image from original NAND with fbBuild. No errors when compiling and the freeBOOT built NAND opens just fine in flash dump tool. I flashed with Flash360 and now I get no video and only center green power light comes on. Something I did wrong or a bug with fbBuild? NAND has no bad blocks. Original NAND in flash dump tool: http://imgur.com/lArx5.jpgfbBuild NAND in flash dump tool: http://imgur.com/J4y6m.jpg

Should I use the SMC from the freeBOOT NAND that was previously flashed and working on this 360? Extract with flash dump tool and rename SMC_dec.bin to SMC.bin right?

My point is I gave you a valid suggestion to try that should yield not only a booting console that can be used but also a way to tell exactly what the machine is seeing if it's not seeing a valid dash.xex, as well as data that should correlate to something else in the dump if it's not correct... all you said to that is "but that's not what I want" ... which says to me in some twisted way you don't want the problem solved. Personally I don't have a problem with any of my machines, even the NAND with bad blocks, so all I can really say is... why waste time elaborating in trying to get info from someone who doesn't seem to want to give it, to fix a problem I don't have? Good luck with fixjaspa, I hope it helps. cory1492 Thankyou very much, your program worked like a dream and my Jasper is now booting 12611 Nice one again mate, you are a true legend sir!

great, did you use fixjaspa on a previous dump and then move bad blocks, and then flash through xell, is that correct?

Just made a brand new image with BestPigs tool, ran cory's fixJaspa tool on that image. Flashed the resulting with Xellous and it remapped my bad block for me. Easy as pie.

after talking with cory1942 I am gonna fixjaspa my other working 360 too... since his way is the correct working one, it should be applied to others as well because in the case of a new bad block developing all the working 16a's might suddenly E71 if dash.xex is affected (or other vital parts...)

Artik, does FreeBOOT toolbox contain the correct patched SMC for Jasper16 with new southbridge? (SMC v2.3) Just wondering. Also, how would I go about flashing a Jasper 16MB console (new southbridge) which has 1 bad block? Should I use cory's fixJaspa tool on the fbBuild built image and then flash with Flash360?

Great job cory1492! Thanks for app!
And thanks to everyone who helped to solve this issue. Thats why I like this scene. People are willing to help each others regardless of time they spend on other people's problems.
I will try to create nand image with FreeBOOT Toolbox 0.04, run FixJaspa and then flash with Flash360. I will report results later.
Artik: Youd should use fixJaspa.
