Did my jtag install... botched DB1F1 (30w iron, my fault ya ya) so used the alternate FT1U2... good to go.
So, I took my Falcon, and flashed xbr (falcon) 8955 3a... wonderful, boots to dash. But it refuses to boot to xell via eject button, instead it boots to dash... What am I missing here? Am I using a bad Db1f1 Alternate Spot? Even tried coolshrip's Jtag Tool and it just E79s on me.
Thank you in advance.

If it boots to xbr then your jtag wiring is fine.
If your disk drive ejects too slow xell won't start. I noted this behavior on a Benq with freeboot - having the drive open before turning it on seemed to do the trick. Not sure if it is your problem, but it is definitely one of the potential problems.

I am wondering if I need to configure my SMC a certain way. Liteon drive, tried this, no avail, turning on with eject still boots dash. Also dash should say 8955 in sys info right?

Also, I am using a nandx with the switch set to the middle. 470 I think. Whats the best way to know I truly booted in to xbr, cause Iam doubting myself now... I flashed the damn file + kv + config, it boots to dash.. But refuses to boot to xell so I can get my cpu key... Other options?!

Actually I believe that xbr3a only boots to xell with the power button of a directly connected controller.
It is xbr3b that does the same trick with the open dvd tray... So or try xbr3b or try freeboot. Both work the same for that matter.
Cheers

So If you've done your jtag wiring yourself. I also suppose that you dumped your nand self... Why don't you just write xell/xellous to your nand without your dashboard.
Over lpt this process takes maybe 5 minutes cause xell/xellous is only 50 blocks (2MB) large :s

Connected tp tv via rca.
I have flashed just xell-2f.bin and it simply e79s. I have the original flash that I dumped, its perfectly fine, i can flash back and disable jtag and its back to normal. Flashing xbr with kv and config, damn thing just refuses to boot xell.

OK, so xell is no 2MB but it is also not the update file which is only 256k which you have used (xell-2f.bin) ... Just try to use xell as one of the hacked images. You can find it at the usual place (hint: folder is XBOX 360\development\free60\images Be ware that xell is exactly 50 blocks large, which is something like 1.3MB. I've read you have a falcon so just flash the falcon_opus bin file to your box. If xbr once booted xell should be no problem Greetz

I really appreciate the help. Big time. Got my keys and all that. So I flashed back to stock, disabled jtag, everything is cake. I get e79 using JtagTool (coolshrip) ro create freeboot, not extracted correctly with freeBOOT_ToolBox_Maker24r3, any suggestions?
