Hellow,

So I've searched the web and find lots of schema's that could help me but nothing is really working. I know this forum is for xbox hacking but a lot of you guys have used ttl signals of the xbox. I'm not ready for this but would like to read a simple wrt54gl router (just for start).

Know this said, I've hooked up a simple 7805 to generate 5V for the max232n ic. Know my charge pump is working i think? Signals are +8.98 and -8.51, don't know if these numbers are correct. When I shorten Rx and Tx of the serial device, I've got a perfect response in hyperterminal. Wen I shorten the Tx and Rx of the TTL nothing happens. There is a perfect 5V on the Rx and 3.11V on the Tx. On the serial end it's just -8.46V on the Tx.

I believe these numbers to be correct. But if anyone can help me. When I connect Rx and Tx nothing happens in hyperterminal. I'm searching already a couple of weeks and I've seen you guys work.

Thanks in advantage,

Br

Try putting the ttl tx input to +5/0, and see if the serial ouput side follows with -8/+8.
Put the serial rx input to +5/0 (should be enuf level wise) and see if the ttl output follows that input. (inverted)

I've took the +5V of the 7805 and hooked it to the tx of the ttl (don't know if this was correct, no worries got myself 20 max232n ic's to practice <= already distroyed 2 :p)

The result isn't good, nothing changes: -8.46V on the tx and 0v on the rx for both the serial outputs. Is it possible that my setup is not correct for the max232n ic's, or am I missing something.

I've used this setup: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/images/2/29/Max232_serial_mod_-_schematic.gif

Thnx for the reply

Greetz
