As title states i've flashed my zenon xbox360 i cheaked my CB which was 1903 and ihc said it was j-tagable then i did 4 dumps of my NAND and did some cheaks to see they were the same, 3 were identical and 1 had 2 blocks diffrent so i used the ones which were identical made freeboot and flashed, after flashing it was late so i unpluged console and never turned it on till about 8 hours later this is were problems start when i switch it on the xbox logo come on then it changes to E79 error screen so i thought maybe it was a bad flash and was going to reflash but now when i go into ihc i get "Could not detect flash controller" i've tryed on 3 diffrent pc's with diffrent setups but the same outcome every time, But the xbox seems to be ok apart from the E79 error if i start the xbox with the eject button XELL loads up fine telling me my cpu key and drive key i've cheaked the j-tagg solder points on 360 mainboard and LPT end and all are ok, But no matter what i do i still get "Could not detect flash" is it possible to put and image on cd/dvd and flash from XELL this is my first xbox360 j-tag hack but i am usally pretty good with stuff like this but this one has got me stumped in the past i've had to build j-tags for all diffrent models of cable modems and settop boxes flashed a load of xbox360 dvd drives flashed mobilephones so i thought this woul be about as hard as they are but as you can see im stuck HELP thanks in advance for any help...  Huh

yes you can flash from xell. if you installed the latest freeboot, all you need to do is build your new nand image and put it on a usb flash drive named updflash.bin. xell will update the flash for you. also, have you tried shorting pins 41-44 of the nand to detect the flash controller? sounds like maybe incorrect/corrupt smc code or it could be a blown spi port. if updating with xell fails and leaves you in an unbootable state, the only other alternative would be an external nand programmer such as a cygnos.

Would NAND x work the same as cygnos as they are a bit cheaper? I think.

NANDX is an SPI flasher, cygnos directly accesses the nand.
