Hi, I have this xenon xbox that has come to me for re-flashing because the owner attemted to jtag the xbox but flashed the nand incorrectly. With no JTAG wires installed it throws up an E79 error and when JTAG wires are installed it displays an E73 error. I've dumped the nand in the state that it came to me in, erased the nand then re-flashed it with but still recieved the above errors. I then flashed xell, xell worked and I managed to grab the cpu key, using the cpu key I loaded one of the nand images that I dumped earlier into 360 flash dump tool to retrieve the dvd key, that worked.

So now I have the consoles CPU and DVD key, is there anyway I can construct a working nand image using the cpu and dvd keys? Using 360 flash dump tool I'm able to extract the kv and smc, is that any help if I can?  Using the key parts that I've managed to grab, can I create a working image?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Without knowing if the config and KV are even correct as you do not have the original dump of the system.

I would head over to phonsey's thread with prebuilt images and a donor KV to try.  If that works then you know the problem.

Link to his thread here.

If he got the dvd key out of the nand image he got, then his kv is 100% valid.

dump the kv from your orig.bin with nandpro

nandpro orig.bin: -r16 kv.bin 0 1

inject into phonseys image

nandpro phonsey.bin: -w16 kv.bin 0 1

write image to xbox

nandpro lpt: -w16 phonsey.bin

simples!!

Right I've tried this method:

Quote
nandpro orig.bin: -r16 kv.bin 0 1

inject into phonseys image

nandpro phonsey.bin: -w16 kv.bin 0 1

write image to xbox

nandpro lpt: -w16 phonsey.bin

However it didn't work for me, after flashing the console just displays the flashing xmas green / red lights on the rf board, I've tried an image with a donor kv and one with the kv I extracted from the orig nand but still no luck. I have also tried and used bincrypt but after flashing I just recieved the same errors as I had got from using nandpro. Phonsey I sent you the cpu key, have you had a look at it yet?

Man doesn't matter how many times you flash it, E73 won't go away because it's a Hardware error. (HSIO training error, means it could not calibrate the EDRAM chip on the GPU)

Have the GPU reworked.

On some of the re-flashes I've managed to get rid of the E73 error but got the flashing xmas lights or a solid green light in the middle, I've been able to get xell up on the screen and grab the cpu key too. If what I've said counts for nothing then are you 100% sure it's a hardware faliure?

It's because the console failed to boot.

Xell works because it doesn't use HSIO/EDRAM.

Admit it. It's broken and need repair.
