Hi all,

Just thought I would share the source code of the Linux flashing tools I wrote over a year ago. The code for the following programs are included:

Quote
mtflash - Liteon and Samsung flasher
liteon_keyext - Liteon7 key extractor
liteon_erase - Liteon firmware eraser
ixfw_patch - iXtreme firmware patcher (needs updating for LT)

http://www.sendspace.com/file/pr7o81

Most of my work is based on the following tools and their authors deserve almost all of the credit:

Quote
DVDKey32 v0.8.1:                Geremia, C4eva, Podger, Seventhson
Firmtool v1.3.1:                Caster420
DosFlash v1.7:                  Geremia, Modfreakz, Kai Schtrom
JungleFlasher v0.0.43b:         Team Jungle
Drive Serial Dummy.Bin Fixer:   GiampyXBS, Oggy

... and anyone I might have forgot.

Unfortunately I have not had the time to update them lately. All code is released AS IS and there are some parts that are not finished yet. I have used the flasher to flash quite a lot of liteon drives so I think that part can be considered fairly stable. The Samsung flashing part has been tested a couple of times and seems to be working.

If someone has the time to keep the programs up to date and add support for new firmwares, drives etc I would be really glad.

Awesome, love it when developers release their code.
I was on the lookout for something like this, just to see how the process works and whatnot.

Cheers ddl! Your work is highly appreciated!  Wink

No, and I doubt anyone will ever bother.
