hope you get a solution, my mates is doing same. its all connected right, but wont power on, either from controller or ring of light button. im in uk he`s in guernsey, so bit awkward to nip and look at it. i suggested he try it on a different supply, so hes hunting one down. Can you try a different power brick on it and see wot happens? even pull front panel off and make sure the button is contacting with the switch behind Wink

if the xbox wont turn on and the PSU doesnt go red check all the USB ports

the xbox has a failsafe that prevents it from turning on if one of the USB ports is damaged and the pins are shorting.

fixed quite a few with this problem.

if the pins inside are touching they will cause the xbox not to boot

look inside and see if the centre plastic bit is still there, if its damaged or missing you will be shorting

besides what Gazcoigne said,
keep it unplugged for some hours..
check the psu end and check the video pins.
also for the hell of it try with the controller.
also a different power socket.

pretty strange from just moving it,but it happens.
i had a couple of units that were hot when i moved them ,and just the move caused a cold solder joint...

well if that's your second X360 on the same power supplied to it,
I would check you source of input....I seen grounds in a house/APT giving off low voltage...

making wanna convert to ps3...
no comment on that bull$#!t statement, as your in a 360 section..
the help stops here from me because you just stated that...
