Confirmation from the russian forum that Xbox 360 Slim with 2010-07-22 MFR Date has manufactured in july 2010 Philips & Lite-on DG-16D4S drive with 9504 firmware...

So 0225 firmware appears after july 22 and before august 4.


ttz, how do you decrypt Lite-on's firmware??? It's encrypted with all that stuff like inquiry etc...

I have the Slim but don't have any other old Liteon or Benq or Sammy....so i want to buy some old drives...thats the reason why im asking if its fitting...

No old drive fit inside the 360, you must adapt it cuting, sanding, crying and yelling hardcore.

The price is not so high here in Brazil, so lets get some before it raises.

Found some cheap 4gb model here, will just confirm the MFR date and will get some benqs and slims today

This may be a stupid question, but... Could Tarablinda WRITE the LT+ Firm prepared with any given DVD key onto the DG-16D42?
From what I see from the discussion The current limitation is the lack of an actual Slim FW to spoof the DG-16D42, but if we had that Tarablinda could, in theory, also write it to flash, right?

My box is 9504 (June 24th 2010) yay! Once there is a solution to write on the new drive I´ll crack it open and show the procedure to the community.

fsd3, when iXtreme LT+ will be released new JungleFlasher will be released too... So you can flash LT+ thru JF.

Don't be a fools. If you wanna be safe in Xbox LIVE you shouldn't spoof old drives. Wait for complete solution!

The inquiry and identify string are inside the scrambled part of the liteons.
here is a quick arranged ppf patch to apply to ix-ltv1.1-934.bin to change that strings, don't know if i did correctly, sincerely i never powered-on the 2 slims console i've, so i'm not going to power them to try a spoof

open a ix-ltv1.1-934.bin, insert dvdkey, save it. open an hexeditor and transplant 1FE00-1FFDF from the tarablinda dummy.bin into the saved ix-ltv1.1-934.bin, apply the ppf patch, you should be ready (hopefully).

A quick try resulted in "Parse failed" at JF (fw is not loaded as target), but I have to do a 93 now, and will try later. Just a heads up... will flashing with iprep do the trick?

1. Insert key in JF.
2. Insert spoof in HEX-editor.
3. Apply PPF-patch.
4. Flash using DosFlash - not the JF (it will return ID strings back to normal).

yelling and crying not....im not a noob m8....its easy to do whatever it takes...i just wanted to be sure that i have to mod it to fit into the new slim

- LT 93450c loaded in jf
- manual spoofed dvdkey from slim to LT 93450c
- saved as slim.bin
- opened slim.bin and dummy.bin (from slim) in hex editor
- .bins were encrypted.
- I've replaced offset given earlier
- saved the slim.bin again
- used ppf-o-matic3 to apply the ix-ltv1.1-934_9504spoof.ppf to slim.bin
- flashed slim.bin with dosflash
- plugged it in Slim, and still Play DVD result

- JF reads the drive as 9405, so I assume the spoof was successfull at one point.



I might be doing something wrong again, but damn there is not enough time for testing (that's why I need help ). I'll try again later if there is lack of new information.

I am thinking the app would be integrated into JungleFlasher at some point.. of course with Geremia's permission or they may refine there own..

stuffing a non-slim drive looks messy.. so this is progress and excellent progress at that!

I guess it wont be long till we have a proper firmware for the drive and fingers crossed a way of using the native slim drive, I do think that rather than people posting "look at me" pics they should be doing tuts. I know i dont have the skill to hack and if i did i would be looking for a way to erase and flash the native drive but i assume there are people onto that already!

here are some good information if it does not serve.
