If tarablinda verified your dvdkey, your spoof is not correct. It's a PLDS DG-16D4S 9504, just to begin
I thought that spoofing wasn't required to boot and run games since the 9199 update. Has this changed or is it just not the case with the slim? Hey !! somebody should ask Team Xecuter guys that use all they big knowledge on this drive, to make a good tutorial on HOW TO SPOOF !!. Team Xecuter whom??? What they did till now, just a video showing nothing!!!!?? In my opinion all credits goes to Geremia that is working hard on that and sharing with all the scene. Just be patience, i believe that good news are about to come soon!!

i think it has nothing to do with the update itself. it`s just kv type related. kv type 1 has no OSIG so there is no need to spoof the drive. kv type 2 and above (don`t know if there exists type 3 or more) has an OSIG so you have to spoof the drive (sorry for bad english)

So wait, you dont have a 360 slim (with the fan rooster on top, and makes sounds if you press the eject or startup button)?
lol yes it's a slim... Yes it makes sounds when you press the eject or startup button, i know this because i bought it 2 days ago lol my last 2 360's died with RED rings, so i figured i'd go slim and wait for a hack... what the hell is a fan rooster? haha
Think M$ updated the firmware of the slim drive, they didnt change the drive because the 360 drive isnt hacked ... yet!:P Hope to hear some good news for my launch 360 slim (beleve it or not my 360 broke in the week of e3:P)

It's clearly a different fw, i just like to see a copy and paste of tarablinda output of 0225 fw
Ok, i quickly attempted a dump of my PC's DVD drive quickly to see what error i would get... The screenshot bellow is exactly the same error i got whilst trying with my slim drive FW VERSION 0255 only where it says "Identify Data:" it stated that my drive was DG-16D4S. Does this help?

Great work Geremia! ...and also lockable to a permanent read-only SPI flash, it's just a matter of MS to push the red button. Do you mean there are CDB for lock flash to read only? Did I get it right? Little stupid question I guess, but I had to ask, will you release source code of tarablinda? Regards, Sowa

What loggio posted wasn't even a 360 drive being detected, it was another drive that was already in his computer. Plus he wasn't even talking to you.

Hmm some questions..
1. Has anyone here manage to acutally spoofing another drive and played games on their SLIM?
2.What drive and how did you do?
I did try to Hex-spoofing it as a sammy ms25 DG-14D4S 9504 but that still didn't work, didn't know if i needed to add the identity and serial data tough, the lines aren't the same in my Hex program as in the dump i'm using XVI32, maby i need something else?

Whoa... Could it be that you now have one of the first 360 Slim capable of running backups thanks to Geremia and this Software? If that's the case, did you use the existing LT 1.1 to spoof the drive?, please share details! I have an Arcade with manufacturing date July 24 2010, havent cracked it open yet since I still have my retailer's warranty until January, but I will once it expires. I´ll keep bashing my originals until then I can assume I have the 0255 version, so no joy for now, but seeing these great results is just a matter of time now, better progress than the "other guys" for sure... Thanks Geremia, keep up the outstanding work!

Great work Geremia, since I saw your post with the tool I got my hands on a Slim and everything worked like a charm. Thank you for supporting the scene! A true Legend! And... Geremia provided the tools for us, free, due to his own hard work, so everyone reading this thread should be able to spoof their drives but, as always, everyone wants everything "ready in a click". Nobody wants to wants to think, want everything the easy way I hate the "Windows Generation"!! People doesn't want even to try by their own.

Geremia, this is for you!Tarablinda_v04b.exe output on the Philips & Lite-on DG-16D4S drive with 0225 firmware: thanks, that's what i needed seems the unlock command is still there, probably needs different parameters, or it just needs some prerequisites. sense 5 55 00 SYSTEM RESOURCE FAILURE, if the cmd was removed, i suppose the error would be different Fortunally, there are more than one way to unlock vendormode. BTW, vendormode: mtk changed vendormode commands for mt1335, there is not anymore the flash blank check lock, you can erase and write freely (well, you have to know what to write ), but you can't read at all (well, 75% true ). This means that there will be anyway a way to enter vendormode, as soon as they want to reflash drive. About the cmd to lock the SPI to read-only, the only way to unlock is to pull spi WP pin to vcc. I don't know where it's connected internally, i got that bonding wire disconnected during decapping, but seems it's going to GND. Sincerely i don't want to test that cmd on the mt1335 About spoofing, i don't care, but if you are going to make a stylish youtube video, at least remove the cellophane from the TV
