Right, I was trying to get the key from a liteon 9 series with my Vampire probe, set everything up, double checked no shorts with my multimeter, press intro holding vendor mode button, flip switch and bang! power cable was not plugged in upside down.

According to the burn marks on my desk two out of the three 0 ohm res's have blown and the reg too.

I read Dreams post that if 3.3v to gnd has less than 100kohms its bad, so I reconncted the tracks and soldered over the 0 ohm res's and this has 30k ohm. I removed the reg just incase it was something to do with that but it remained unchanged.

I dont want to power it back up again just incase it blows something further.

Is the drive basically toast or does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks.
