My freeboot .32 512mb BB Jasper will no longer boot up. When turned on normally, with eject, or the controller in the back, you can hear the fans and what sounds like the disk drive seeking. However, only the center light comes on. The lights never do the "dance" or continue to boot up. The tray opens and closes fine. I also checked the power brick. No problems here, goes from orange to green when turned on as usual. I tried reflashing freeboot .32 just to rule out nand corruption, and there's no bad blocks or anything or problems flashing. Any ideas?

when the xbx has RROD with certain codes 0022 etc it takes 30 secs to red ring, are you waiting long enough to see if this happens?

Yes, in fact, in search of any error code at all, I left it on for an hour or so. I just rechecked my solder joints for the hack and they're OK. think this is a video/audio controller issue? I would think there would at least be some red ring(s).

Any ideas? This is driving me nuts. When I unplug the DVD drive, the ROL board flashes all 4 lights (green still with no display). Xell will not boot either. It lets me freely erase, write and read the NAND with nandpro fine. I'm stumped.

Surprisingly, I just did this about half an hour ago, and it boots right up.. So then I tried to update to my previously working freeboot image through xellous, and blank screen still.. This same image worked fine from when .32 came out until my box randomly decided not to boot anymore.

It was a combination of things, I suppose. My xbox had some NAND corruption. However, when I went to reflash, my original freeboot had corrupted thanks to a failing PC hard drive. I created a fresh brand new freeboot image and it booted right up. I probably wouldn't have figured this out if I hadn't also tried unsuccessfully tried to flash my old working XBR image as well!
