e71 if usb drive plugged in

I just updated my dashlaunch to the newest version (1.0) and now whenever I boot my xbox with my usb drive plugged in I get an e71. If the drive is unplugged it launches fine. I can even plug the drive in after the dash is launched and launch stuff stored on the drive

is there a default.xex on the root of the device bc the xbox is trying to load it and it creates an error.

ya it was the default.xex. thanks. however dashlaunch will not launch my dash now.... my launch.ini is stored on my usb device and looks like

Default = LUsb0:\dash.xex

The xex is there and I can launch it via quickboot. I also ran the flash installer for it so I can't figure out what might be wrong.

edit: by looking at the simpleini website it seems like I might need to put the section at the top [QuickLaunchButtons]. I'll try that when I get a chance and report back.

though i have no expierence with dashlaunch, it looks to me like your ini is calling for an xex on the root of the usb (Default = LUsb0:\dash.xex) and the xex cant be there obviously (e71).  maybe try Default = LUsb0:DASH\dash.xex then put dash.xex on your usb drive in a folder named DASH.

The 360 itself tries to launch default.xex off USB and fails with E71 then, even without dashlaunch.

Ya. I just put it in a folder and everything was fixed. Thanks for the help everyone.
