You don't know what you're talking about, and there are not 7 verification routines.

You don't know what you're talking about, and there are not 7 verification routines.
Why don't you go and look in HvxDvdAuthFwcr, look what it does to %r30, it compares it to 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4, then jumps to a different function depending on what number it is. %r30 is set to the first argument passed to the function. Which if you back track into the kernel, the syscall is called from SataCdRomHvFwcr, and SataCdRomHvMarshal. Lets look at SataCdRomHvFwcr, oh look the first arg passed to the syscall is the first arg passed to this function too. If you backtrack more you will see %r3 is set to various numbers in different functions. Maybe they are used to authenticate different sections of the firmware. Either way it still has 5 different functions to do some sort of verification on the firmware/firmwares. Stop telling me I don't know what I'm talking about when you haven't even looked at this stuff.

Well it looks like its based on a new mode select cdb. Another member I know and respect, says that there is no sign of the new handler in current liteon. We are thinking perhaps this is only for slim.
So we still wait to see who has the fcrt.bin, consoles that have it installed would likely be the ones affected. Any slim owners dump yet?

Yay fallen has sdk with kernel pdb so he knows kernel function names. Yay. "it compares it to 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4" <--- exactly what I said, 5 params, not 7/8, and again, they're not all auth, but you wouldn't know that because you don't have an hv pdb

What does the pdb have to do with anything? It names $#!t, big deal how do you think we have the names for the functions ida labels for us? I'm done with this argument.

I've contributed more than you ever have What's happened to this place is people that don't know what they're talking about think they're entitled to post in every thread.

Also, it's impossible to measure exactly how much q36 has contributed due to so many rage-induced name changes.
