A lot of time ago i dumped the nand of my xbox (Xenon - 16Mb). The Dash version of dump is 7357 (JTAG compatible). I also retrieve the CPU Key flashing XELL. Then i reflash the untouched 7352 dump and used the xbox normally.
Unfortunatly i update the dash and now i have an 8955.
My question is: can i flash the nand to downgrade the dash and restore the 7352 version with the CPU key and original full dump? My purpose is to install JTAG hack (XBreboot or freeboot).
Thanks

No you cannot, by updating it past 7371 you blew an efuse that revokes the older exploitable CB's

Sorry to hijack the thread but a question. If JTAG installed along with freeboot and everything. Will there be future updates and if so will the console update as normal or what is the case with such situations?

as the system updates progress you will be able to build you own freeboot version the same way you built the freeboot 9199

then use apps like 360flash to rewrite the nand

if you try to update the console through ms servers, your console will have the efuses blown (if R6T3 is still in place) and your console will return to stock and be locked out from the exploit.

Thanks Gazcoigne, and yes my R6T3 is still in place. What exactly does the R6T3 does? Pros & Cons Huh

The r6t3 resistor completes the circuit necessary to blow e-fuses within the CPU itself.

Removing r6t3 breaks this circuit, making the former impossible.

Pro: Cannot accidentally update the XBOX, meaning exploit is always viable.

Con: Cannot deliberately update the XBOX, meaning XBOX live is never viable.

You need to choose which is important to you. The exploit or live.
