Modded Xbox 360 OPEN TRAY ERROR : What scenarios am I dealing with?

Hello,

My modded xbox 360 had a blaster 360 inside. I removed the blaster 360, and I thought I reattached the sata cable to the console but I don't know. With the blaster360 the console could play any games and backups...

Is the only scenario for an open tray modded 360 console that can't play original games and backups which used to play them before an  sata cable issue? Let me say that the DVD drive does not make iniaition to run the game. I open tray, put the game in, and in exactly  2-3 seconds it immediately says open tray.

or laser has died and needs replaced

P.S: Sata cable was broken... Replaced SATA cable and it worked... Strange eh.

Just for future reference the new lite on drives throw an open tray error when the motors freeze up that move the laser. Cause of this is lack of lubrication on tracks. open up the drive and free up the motor and either replace motor and tracks or lubricate the tracks. hope this helps someone
