Is there a way to downgrade the dash on a JTAG that has either XBR3 8955 or Freeboot .032 to a lower dashboard version and upgrade to 7371 to create an "original nand" for a backup? I have a couple friends with jtag boxes with xbr3 but don't have a copy of the original nand.  I would like to update them to Freeboot .032 but i've heard it is more "stable" if you use the original nand to create the image.

If you have an XENON, know the CPU key, it's not homebrewn blocked and you're willing to blow at least one "fuse" (4 fuses are blown on each update to be precise) you can:

Considering the number of fuses blown (LDV) you have:

1- Acquire the tools and files required to build an 2.0.1888 image for your console from the usual places.
2- Download some system updates like, for example 4532, 6717 and 7371.
3- Update from 1888 up to 6717 according to the number of updates are reflected on your "Lockdown Value" (LDV) and make sure R6T3 is patched to block fuses blowing then undo the R6T3 modification and finally do a full update to 7371 (make sure you delete the update data from your storage device before you start all this process.
4- Re-do the block on R6T3. Now you will have one fuse blown more than you had earlier because you had to blow one (4 in reality) to make 7371 function correctly.
5- Dump it, extract files.

if the reason is to make the xbr update in 9199 you can take the smc with the raw2smc v0.2 program  just pull out from the xbr the config.bin and put itin the same file with the programm an run the programm raw2smc
