I'm sure this thread has already been made, I just couldn't find one with the answers I needed. Please forgive me for falling into the whole noob stature.

Anyway, i ordered a WD Scorpio BEVT drive. I know it should work (thought I cant remember the exact model) because I've seen others say theyve used it and it works, which is how I learned about it. With the HDDhacker program (i currently have 1.22), I don't completely understand how all of this works. i've never done it before. Are there instructions inside the program that tell you what to do? Because the readme file doesn't tell much aside from the parameters used within the program.

Also, I opened up the program by double-clicking and a DOSwindow opened up, but then shut itself down(I'm running WinXP). I then right clicked and chose run as, and then it opened up and a window popped up saying some junk about making a temporary file, so should I do that?

I did notice though that in the readme it says to run the program by opening through DOS, so maybe thats my issue?

Sorry if its in the wrong forum guys and please forgive me for being a total nub and posting something that has more than likely been posted a zillion times before.

Ok m8 what you need to do is make a flash drive or floppy disk that is bootable and then boot your machine from this (don't let your machine boot into windows and try and run HDDHACKER because it won't work, boot into dos) then with your prepared files on the flash drive or floppy disk run HDDHacker and flash the WD Scorpio BLUE WD2500 BEVT drive with the 60GB.bin file which can be found on the net, then shut down your machine remove the drive and attach it to your xbox 360 and it should reconize the drive them select format and your good to go.
