Ok so I had my xbox 360 powered off of an atx psu and i had it working but it was ghetto rigged so i decided to make it look better so i took it apart and connected the yellow to the yellow and black to black and red to purple and blue to blue. And when i plugged it in the power supply just shut off like it was a short circuit. Well come to find out I forgot I wasnt supposed to connect the blue wire to anything. The blue wire is -12 volts. So now its broken and I dont know where to start. Please help.

If you hooked up -12V, chances are something got blasted with 17-24V.. way too much. Check the mosfets, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

what is the correct way to check the mosfets if the psu turns off when i plug it in so no power going to motherboard? Do you think this is repairable? Please say yes I just got this xbox not to long ago like 2 weeks if that lol

If it instantly turns off when you plug in a properly working PSU, it's likely completely dead.. your only way to check the mosfets in such a case would be to replace them and hope it works, but things don't look good there.
