I have a hard drive that is lockable, but I can't find out how to use it without a mod chip. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I just had an idea, I am using XBOXHDM and Ndure 3.1 to softmod my xbox.  Since the hard drive that I have is already unlocked, couldn't I just run XBOXHDM on my hard drive and then put it in the xbox? or would I need to first unlock my xbox hdd and copy the files to my other hdd, then run XBOXHDM?

Thanks!
