Hi. At a local retailer I've found a "new" old Xbox360 Core model, that hasn't been opened up since production(!). I've just fried my JTAG'able Falcon board, so is it worth it buying the Core for JTAG? (It costs $160 though, (danish taxes) about as much as a second hand Xbox360, that isn't guaranteed to work with JTAG)

My biggest concern is the problems with heat and RROD. Can I be sure that it will work, if I change the heatsinks with the one from my old falcon, apply Wilhelm_1's xclamp fix, and modify the shroud?

try again if you're able to take jtaggable hdmi revision
I would prefer falcon/zephyr 'cause less heat and hdmi...jasper would be great
But if you want one, take that...cool modifications to xenon can bring cpu to 60°C and GPu 47° like mine Xenon.

two things
you're are stuck with VGA if like me want HD..hdmi is equal (1080p) but more easier to take around
hope that console never run, mine went rrod and gave back to repair..now xclamp, fans and go well at that °C..

If you buy that Core Xenon,  look nickname "Dream" efficient cooling modifications/tests. You should definitely swap that Falcon GPU-heatsink to that Xenon and ad a Fan header to it.
