I tried to flash my Samsung DVD drive for Xbox360, but the power went out on the Xbox halfway through the flashing (writing the hacked firmware). I researched a bit and I think it was because my AV cable wasn't plugged in WHILE I was flashing (but I didn't get any red lights... also, I flashed a BenQ drive fine with AV cables)...

So now, when I power up Xbox, i get E65 error and when I try to hook the drive back up to my PC, it freezes windows up completely, so I can't reflash it (I have backup of original firmware). Any suggestions? any way to somehow not have windows freeze up? any other random suggestions?

My computer would freeze up whenever I plugged in my BenQ (after it crashed "writing bank 3") and it turned out it was entirely my fault for not reading the tutorial.

If you're using a VIA SATA card be sure to remove the drivers.

use dosflash in native dos then drivers have no effect at all much easier than JF which can be buggy with drivers installed

use a via chipset to do the 10 sec trick to unbrick the drive and allow you to flash a good image onto it.
