you'll have to extend that yourself, I don't think anyone actually produces cables long enough to put the drive outside.

Tip: there are duplicated voltage wires in this cord... remove them, because are not needed (tested by myself in xenon/samsung)

i've done this myself (twice) when making the dvd drives external...

Tutorial (with pics) here, can verify it works as i've done  Grin

http://www.***.com/forums/hardware-customizations/167820-extend-your-xbox-360s-dvd-drive-power-cable.html

I used 10 wires (unspit from each other so it looks neat) from an IDE cable for the middle section btw.

Its easyer than this duggyuk , you are using 10 wires... but only 6 are needed

There are 4 that can be removed to simplify the work

@Sandungas

Have you compared the gauge of the wire to the current load?  Even if you use fewer wires, it's still a good idea to hook up all the power pins at the connectors at least to prevent current overloading the tracks on the boards before they reach the power planes.

Blackaddr, i did not calculate it, but original wires are 24AWG

There are 4 wires for GND
All ground pins/traces are joined in the 360 motherboard... & are joined too in the dvd-drive board

And 2 wires for +12V
Same that ground... both pins/traces are joined in the boards

So i decided to test it, and i removed 3 of this grounds... and 1 of the 12V
The drive works ok, i have been using it for long periods without problem
