distructiv gave me the great idea of just hexing a 1pic .con
i allso tried making the con from scratch with le fluffie

i got the furthest with my hexed 1, it'll show my image in the /system setting/memory/DEVICE/ gamerpix/ as well in the "edit profile" blade. when i press A, it'll do the little green animation like its selecting it but wont change.

le fluffie will show a little cat in the /gamerpix/, and will do the same in the profile blade but never applies the image.
i gots no clue what im doing wrong, ive tried hashing it to no success. theres NO documentation on inserting ur own images.
except with a camera........................
im sure its a novice misteak, any help appreciated. ill play with the the SDK and update any results

sorry if my english is bad, itsa second language  Grin

Are you talking about having a custom gamer picture that will show up on xbox live? Because if that is the case it is not possible. All pictures are stored on the xbox live servers and those are the only ones that are allowed to be use.

Why don't you make a package with xlast.

Then you can compare it to the package you have made.

See where you went wrong.

Whip up an app to remove xlast from the equation, and to stay legal.

Did you have both a 32x32 image and 64x64 image?

I'd have to agree with dschu012. Sounds like the OP only made an empty CON file

You're in luck. I've made a text tutorial some time ago for a different forum. I trust you understand the filesets/filenames within any CON file containing gamerpics.

I'll use this file name as an example:
32_FFFE07D100002800800018008.png

First chunk "32_" means the gamerpic size is 32x32

Second chunk "FFFE07D1" is the TitleID and can be (*warning theory*) any TitleID.

Third chunk "0002" is constant, because it's present in every gamerpic from downloadable pics to ones created by GPI.

I'll label both "8008" values as chunk four as it is easier explaining. The four bytes have to match. This is an example of that I'm talking about:

32_FFFE07D10002101200011012.png
and
32_FFFE07D1000280cd000180cd.png
Most gamerpics created with GPI have an ordering "80xx" for this chunk.

The fifth and last chunk "0001" is constant on every pic I've found.

So when you create a gamerpic, this is what a sample set of icons would look like:

32_5857085c0002800000018000.png
64_5857085c0002800000018000.png

or

32_FFFE07D10002104700011047.png
64_FFFE07D10002104700011047.png

This is how I create my gamerpics.

1. Create a new package with "Le Fluffie" ( select file>package creation>STFS>click OK).
2. Start adding your pre-made pictures (both 32x32 and 64x64, and named correctly)
to the root directory.
Starting in the "Main" tab:
3. In the pull-down box, select "GamerPicture" and keep the Title ID how it is.
4. Write whatever you want in the following fields: Display Title/ Description(write in one, then hit save before you write in the next), Publisher, and Internal Title, and hit save. Pictures are optional but use 64x64 images, just like the gamerpics.
5. Select the Finalization tab and make sure you keep the bullet on the "CON" option. Hit "Create Package", name it anything, and save it anywhere.
6. Copy the new CON file to your HDD/MU to this folder:
/Content/0000000000000000/FFFE07D1/00020000 (create it if it isn't there already)

great tut!
i found my problem. it is a novice misteak......... i thouhgt that leFluffie and the SDK would create a package with no profile or XUI data, but it does.
i just zero that out and smooth sailing.
thanx again for giving advice and not telling me to read  Tongue
