I need some help with this. I have created a MS-DOS Floppy Boot disk and placed the firmware files on. I enter the command > mtkflash r/m orig.bin. I then have the optons of selecting the drive i choose to select the master and get the error 'ERR: fail to open output files'. What am i doing wrong i have a VIA Chipset which clearly recognises my samsung dvd drive. Any advice would be much appreciated.

i have tried the space between r and /m. Still does not work. Should i disconnect my hard drive when i boot? I will look for the edited mtkflash. That alone will take me two hours. Many thanks.

The problem has now been solved. I did have to edit mtkflash, i was getting the numbers the wrong way round with the hex edit, i had left my hard drive connected and all seems to have gone well. Thank you very much for your prompt assistance.
