using the MRA method you may be able to repair the drive but apart from that you will probably require a new drive

how is the MRA method going to recover your drive.. it's only for an initial firmware dump... it won't recover anything LOL there's no way doing the MRA method will help you unbrick a Liteon, what a stupid suggestion
you can use Liteon-Erase to erase the flash chip no problem. then Device intro it again (read the jungleflasher guide), to get proper status x72 and flash it

tray half way is only for dumping
did you erase the drive before you tried writing again?
l-o-eras gets you the correct deviceid, you still need to erase flash before you write anything
try usin dosflash16 in native dos its much easier.

you have not read what i said
once you get proper status with l-o-eras do a full erase afterwards with dosflash/JF etc, then try to flash good image.
l-o-eras doesnt erase the flash it just resets the brick and gives good status.

l-o-eras doesnt erase the flash it just resets the brick and gives good status. ummm BRAW wtf >_< please enlighten yourself what LO-eras does... all it does is erase the flash, nothing else (it does nothing what you say, other then give you good status... then again to get proper status your LO flash need to be erased with LO-erase (LO-erase.exe same as what JF / Dosflash are doing)) You must not been around the internetez when the Liteon was first hacked, and when the first ixtreme for LO was created and people started flashing their Liteon drives

ive been here since day dot m8
flashed my first hitachi drive within an hour of its first public release back in 2006 so believe me i know what im doing.
modded liteons ever since they appreared and ive flashed tons.
every single time ive used l-o-eras in native dos, ive then had to run the liteon e command in dosflash to give 256kb free space on the flash
l-o-eras gives correct status but shows 0kb free space in the flash, once erased with dosflash the 256kb free space is there to flash to.
if this is done auto in JF i wouldnt know as im more old school, and have more luck in dos.
not been around the internet? wise the f*** up ive been on the internet almost 15 years also im not some dumb kid im a married man of almost 30 with 3 kids.

Gazcoigne is right, i also do it on the old way. Only the dump I do with the maximus USB Xtractor and spoof it in JF. After that i use L-O-ERAS and flash it in dosflash (ms-dos) that always works.
Dosflash is also easy to read the new lite-on 93450 driver (after a some solder in the driver) I did already 3.
Good luck!!!!

if you still do it the old way, which I presume is in native DOS as many people suggest on this forum, to use DOS as a way to unbrick, you fail at modding.. there's nothing DOS can do over JF

theres where you fail
a lot of people have issues with drivers etc that are not present in dos
not everyone likes to use point and click software, thats where you fail because you rely on noob friendly software because thats exactly what you are - a noob acting like he's a pro, and you are so not!!
how about you quit being such a f***ing asswipe and actually give something useful to the forum instead of being an elitist prick and thinking you are so better than everyone else
come to think about it in the time ive seen you on this forum ive yet to see a useful, helpful or productive post yet
you are the biggest troll and waste of space on this forum so kindly f*** off back under the rock you slid out from.

Can anyone tell me if having an MRA rig attached during this process will affect the erase, and should vendor intro be achievable without MRA hack afterwards on an 9345 ??
I have one that I have dumped/re-flashed before but now it seems genuinely bricked.
Sorry for posting on an old thread but the info here seems the most relevant.
Any help appreciated..
