So I have two xbox which have problems. First one powers on for half a sec and then red light on psu brick. I was working on installing a switch to turn on and off 12v fan mod and it would shut off whenever any of the points got ground so I remove everything. Then I would turn on but not the fans. So I tried to connect the fans directly to a 12v spot but could get it to stay solder on.

The other one is missing D9V1 under the USB port and giving error code 0022. I would like to know where if possible I can buy that piece

You shorted out the first box, chances are good that you grilled the southbridge. If you can't get the solder to stick, then you obviously don't have the ability to solder around in a 360.
D9V1 is a transistor. I doubt that one would cause 0022, though.. it'd probably just make the USB not work. you can take that off the fried console you have.

I do NOT give support by email, PM, ICQ or whatever. Anyone annoying me that way will have his balls removed. With a rusty butterknife. Slowly. And I'll enjoy doing it.

just off chances it can also be the cpu let along what Arakon posted....

one of the solder-balls can be mended to another causing a direct short....
which calls for a re-balling to either .......
3/4 of the time when a cpu gets this way...its a user error on a reheat/reflow-gone-bad!

sick like a mofo..not reballing for a while...
