no matter what your going to have to get the key off the benq drive to flash back to the Hitachi drive... why not just flash the benq drive and use that?

much easier to flash benq drive than muck about with the hitachi
then youd have to dump both drives. cross spoof etc
less work and hassle to do benq only

well i could and that would certaily be the easiest way. it's currently a cb5766, is there a way to get updates without going past the point of being able to exploit the box? i can't do it on my own so i'm searching for someone in my area that'll do the hack for me.

The reason i'm asking about the drives is because i've been trying to jtag my falcon for the last 5 days but I couldn't get the DB1F1 point to stick so I gave up on that. My box is still exploitable but because the dash is soo friggin old I can't do much with it without needing updates. Atleast that's the message I keep getting. I have a hitachi drive that's flashed and that's why I was wondering. Or should I just forget about the jtag and update my 360 then flash the benq. I don't want to get console banned again but in it's current dash I can't install to HDD, watch movies from the usb stick or play backups.

I've asked around, i've googled for it. There doesn't seem to be an alternate point so for the time being i'll wait and see if I can locate someone to do the setup for me. I totally hear ye, finding an exploitable 360 nowadays is tough and I just happened to have a friend with one that never used his. So he traded it for my old refurbished one.

yes, as littlestevie360 said you got to be crazy to update that jtagable box.......
OMG!! I just found a thread that says the FT1U2 point on the underside of the board will work as an alternate and then another near it can be used as well but near impossible to solder. FRIG!! That near ompossible one was the one i've been trying to get.

I had almost done a terrible thing out of desperation......lol

ahh... problem is this isn't lead coating it's a board protective coating(sorry forgot the name) ...it is all lead free solder, already on the board. so it has to be a bit hotter to mend your wire. your soldering a wire to that point right? not the diode? and don't hold it on to long...if it don't mend your tip isn't clean...and are you using about a pinhead amount of flux? it will clean the area as you heat down the wire......let the wire slip down the tip to hit the trace...that wires heat is sufficient enough to heat/mend the wire to the trace...

no diode to that point? all the diagrams use a diode. crap i soldered the diode on, currently flashing the xbr to see if it took what i meant was the little hole or dot you solder to popped right out and broke away from the leed(don't know the actual term) so it's now this thin line that runs to an empty hole it took!!! i booted it up by the eject and xell loaded but i got a bunch of error codes about cb
