Can I connect my HDD from my banned but uncrippled 360 Elite to my JTAGed 360 Arcade? It has my profile on it. Otherwise I wouldn't know how to recover. The Elite has the original 8955 on it though. Don't wanna blow my JTAGed Xbox with updates maybe being on this HDD.

Since 8955 is the latest dash anyways, there are no updates currently. Also, if you remove r6t3, no update can harm you.

I do NOT give support by email, PM, ICQ or whatever. Anyone annoying me that way will have his balls removed. With a rusty butterknife. Slowly. And I'll enjoy doing it.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have read somewhere if I remove r6t3 I have to install some kind of switch. Is that true?

No that's not true, only if you would wanna bring your xbox back to stock you would have to put the resistor back, but since your console is JTAGged I reckon that's not your intention.

There is a (better) and easier solution instead of removing R6T3 btw: click here
