got a 360 elite falcon v3 in from customer, has had a glass of water spilled on it whilst on (whoops!!)

console booted up at first but froze on the bootup animation and went into to RLOD error code E71 sec code 1013  problem with dash files

first assumption is that NAND has been shorted and corrupted.

hooked up SPI LPT wiring and dumped flash to see if nand is functioning and to try to get cpu key etc to make a new nand image fingers crossed!!

dumped it 3 times with a few differences (my setup gives 100% matches on all previous consoles)

assumed differences are due to corrupted/bad blocks

got this for dump in 360 flash dump tool

yay its exploitable might be light at end of tunnel!!

and this in degraded

decided to try XBR_8955_3 first, hooked up JTAG wiring and extracted kv and config block from orig with no issues patched into XBR and moved bad blocks manually

flashed XBR  to get cpu key and test the nand to see if it even worked

success!! XBR and xell loaded pertfectly.

obtained cpu key ok which decrypted my kv with an odd string for OSIG (keep at end?)

rang the customer and he wants the xbox for live so i gotta rebuild a retail NAND image for the console

coffe time and lots of searching found me this post in x-h forums

http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=12265.40

i was delighted to see that it was possible to rebuild a good image so i grabbed all the files required and started it.

created 1888 bin ok, kv details the same, patched LDV values to max and matched pairing info, as tut says which gives me  shown below

erased nand and flashed, removed JTAG wiring and booted 360 to be met with black screen and RROD 0022 after 20 secs, pointing to incorrect LDV values or something?

moved the bad blocks in the clean 1888 image also.

where have i gone wrong? is the 1888 for xenon only? should i use a diff kernal for falcon?

i have a donor falcon.bin but do not have the cpu key for it to decrypt the kv to insert my own.

any pointers on how i can get this xbox back to original dash?

any help much appreciated

from some further reading it appears i have been wasting my time, this method is for Xenon only

any1 willing to donate a nand and cpu key to allow me to recover this thing?

also if i do this is there a chance it will be banned from live?

can i copy over config blocks etc to give nand the correct info?

I'm in the same boat as you! Corrupt file system due to update from disc! Error 1013 - E71. cb 1940 - non exploitable box. I don't have cpu key and no way to recover key for rebuild of nand. But, i do have 2 valid dumps of nand. Maybe future update from disc or flash will fix. Unless someone knows a way to recover? Good luck and maybe someone will point you in the correct direction. I think i'm screwed all around.

Have you checked the ecc on both images, also have you compared the 2 image's side by side.

I've checked the image which you sent and it doesn't seem to be corrupted and the Ecc data is fine, kernel 8453.

Was this image taken from the nand before the corrupt update ?

I have a funny feeling it is and this is whats causing E71 - 1013 when flashing it back to the nand after the update - when the 360 is goin through
it's boot process the executables are in diffrent locations within the nand and can't be launched due to there incorrect address.

Example

Kernel 8498  - dash.xex 0x02B4
         5759  -              0x033E

This image was taken from the nand *After* the corrupted update. I can put the 8955 update on disc or flash drive and it will idle in animi and not error out with e71 or 1013 within the boot. But, nothing more than that. Maybe ms next update will work and follow through with the update and fix it self. If not then i guess ill have another parts box. thanks....

@ddxcb

Read the thread, he needs a Falcon dump, not a Xenon.

ddxcb: Thanks for the * offer * mine is non - exploitable. Having no cpu key as well doesn't help me much. I'll just put it away until new update rolls out it's no biggie. Thanks to all that has helped!  Cool

I've asked this in my previous post, have you compared the 2 images.

if you cant boot correctly i doubt you will get far enough into the dash to get an update running.

the only other non exploitable E71 i've had in was an older dash and wouldn't take the 8955 update.....

All you need is a donar image, inject kv and config from your nand image, rest is history. Smiley

as you can see pairing and ldv values are different. should they be the same with a rebuilt 1888 fs image as well? i tried changing ldv and pairing values with flash360 upon saving image crashed everytime. unless the cpu key was needed for that process. im not 100% sure on that myself. i dont know if degraded adds kv / config. so i injected manually into image. no luck flashing. box sits on center green led with fans spinning @ 100%..  i need to get cb and cd pairing patched on donor nand but i am having no luck on that keeps crashing everytime i try to save as well. * feed back needed * Thanks to All that has been helping!
