iateshaggy,

Nice work... You can bridge 1,8V lines...

d0m3l,

Use r20 or r15.

Yes yes

You can do it.
What is that 3,3V jumper? You don´t need that.
Nice soldering shaggy.

If you like to give credit then it is C4E, Team JF, all soft makers, Geremia and MRA.
It is their work not mine.

An exacto knife / stanley knife (fresh blade), does the cuts very well I'll add. And it's readily available at any hardware depot as well.

160C on a SMD Rework station (Hot air) is enough to remove the epoxy.

I also sort out L-O c*ckups here Wink

Melbourne VIC Australia (T3chline)

You can send either the whole drive, or just the board itself.

EDIT: Beaten about stanley knife

Hi guys,

I hope you can help me with my drive. Its a LO V9 which i was attempting to dump with an xecuter probe V2.

Problem is the MT chip now gets very hot when powered, I've checked the resistance between 3.3V and GND, and its ~5 Ohm, so i guess theres a short somewhere.

I've tried to repair the PCB cuts, but the pad to the left of 122 may be disconnected from the trace.

The power cable was always connected correctly, but its possible that the chip side of the board shorted against the casing while attempting to dump.

Any ideas? Thanks!

shaneomac,

Clean all extra solder off (all your repairs) and install 3,3V jumper (r207---C03) then measure 3,3V to GND.

Hi Dream,

Thanks for helping me with this. I cleaned off my solder repairs, so it is back to a state with Pin 101 and 122 disconnected from the 3.3V line. I soldered a wire between the 2 points indicated in your picture and checked the 3.3V-GND resistance, but its still ~5 Ohm  Sad
