when and how the drive shows up is irrelevant until after you intro the drive.  if it doesn't show up, hit intro on the port it should show up on and see what happens.

z3r0,

Clean it and start all over.
Look at my work and try to do same. Look at the wires how they are soldered.
They are not touching any other lines/GND.
Looks like 3,3V and 1,8v is shorted.

You can do it, take your time do nice clean install and dump it.

iateshaggy: Vendor intro fails every time, stays at status 0x80.
I'm using a VIA card also btw.

I have a ck3 lite in the mail, Maybe I'll have better luck with it when it gets here tomorrow.

Dream, I don't think it's my soldering this time, but I'm going to redo it anyway.

the soldering did look sloppy. one trick is to not solder the wires to the traces at a right angle.

z3r0,

You donīt need pad 101 and pad 122. You can easy probe it...

eryx666,

Liteon 7,8,9? I think it may be burned --> Game Over.

Hello.
I have been using the LT switch v1.5 but I messed up pretty much every pad on my LiteOn (93450C) PCB. Below are a couple pictures:

This is what my board looks like at the moment (it may look like there are some shorts but the solder isn't touching ground):

Can you explain in detail what I need to connect where (pictures before are confusing, I'm not sure what connections I need to make)? And once I have made the connections, how do I go about reading / writing the firmware?

Thanks!

EDIT: How can I use the LT switch with the alt points as well?

lt switch is garbage, use jumper wires and a resistor.  if you have a power supply for drives, no need for switch just probe w/ resistor, if not u just need to put a on off switch on the resistor line.  if 101 is trashed you can probe pad 122, the pad left of the other cut you made.

Thanks iateshaggy!
Pad 101 is trashed.. you say that pad 122 is left of the other cut I made, that is the one at the bottom left, right (not the one near the "clean solder" text)?

EDIT:Nevermind, I got it working!!
These are the connections I made:
I installed the LT switch on top of this:

Here are the connections to the chip:

looks like you did a lot of extra work, but i am glad that you got it going.

@dream, are those 0 ohm resistors and if so, can i just treat them like jumpers?
sorry if this is a noob question, but i am really just a pcb noob.
