RE your pad connection tester...why cant the led remian for dumping ?..i was planning to house the whole thing into a pen..i suppose i could build in a small switch ?

You can not use led and resistor won´t work.
If you like to build all in one probe you have to use transistor Switch to power the led... (2*resistor 1*transistor)

Why i make the probes like they are?
I try to make them so simple that every one can build one.
It is stupid to build complex electronics what we don’t really need.

Won’t give you give the schematics how you can make one you have to figure it out.
Because some noob will build one and blow the $#!t out of liteon…

I like simple things.

Hi Dream,

I know your probably fed up of people asking how to fix, it's my turn now lol
I'm no n00b at flashing & i have done many liteons with the ck3 probe 2, trust it to be my xbox that i have knackered up, (i attempted it in a different place with no light & not the proper tools), anyway my problem is . . .
My pad 122 has disappeared & i have tried all the fix's that have been posted, been trying for weeks & now i'm fed up & i have to ask for help, could you please tell me which fix to use, using the CK3 probe 2  (P.S instead of putting the spring pins into the via's i solder wire to them to ensure a good connection).

i will pick my camera up from my moms tomorrow (left it there lol), but untill then if you imagine a virgin board with via 122 missing, thats all thats wrong with my board, what do i have to do to get it read with a ck3 probe 2.
I'm very good at repairs and tracing tracks etc, this has stumped me as all i have tried does not work (even though in theory it should) anyway, thank you ever so much for helping me ;-)

if all that is fooked is 122, you should be able to dump the drive using mra/boxxdr method (122 missing is the same as the line being cut for the hack), then when u are done, move one end of the 3.3 jumper (doesn't matter which one) to the trace 122 was on and the drive should work.

Hi, first post (captain obvious).

Here is a few pictures of the PCB I butchered. Initially, everything worked fine (power, drive was being recognized) with the exception of an error (not being able to dump fw). I went back and tried cutting the tracers again, I think I cut too much, and possibly damaged pad 101.

I'm no longer concerned with dumping the fw, or modding, only getting the drive to be functional again (red dead revolver comes out tuesday and i want to play). Any, and all recommendations are welcomed, for obvious reasons i'm going to have someone that knows what they're doing, do the soldering (unless recommendations can be made, i'm willing to send it out for repair).

This is the first time I've worked on a PCB, and it shows.

thanks a lot.

excellmp3uk,

Your only problem is that you are using xecuter Probe2 rev1.
Make my easy probe page 4 reply 66.
Use 15 ohm resistor and dump it. (Pad 101 or Pad 122)

Make this fix to your lo board.

karausu,

It is not that bad.
Clean the extra solder off.
Take new picture.

Don´t sand it use this and flux.

Before key extracting I accidentally touch lite-on 93450 plate to metal case. Now it look like this:

On this screen I mark that line's get only 1,6V it's normal for this condition?
can I restore them and get the key?

Thanks in advance!

lyalenko,

Do the LT Fakir mod with "Boxxdr jumper". (3,3V fix jump over pad 101)
Also add mra 3,3V jumper.
It is not bad, pin 101 is broken so the voltage is low and resistance is mega ohms.
LT Fakir will fix the broken bad´s... only thing you need to do if you have old LT $#!t add jumper pad101 to pad122 points on lt $#!t and dump it.

i don´t have time to draw picture now so i hope you get it.
This picture shows all alt poins for broken pads.

I have fixed the 101 Pad thanks to dream and his posts, but the drive powers off after 1 second and my ck3 lights go off??

I have noticed the voltage regulator gets really hot any ideas what this can be? (the small black thing with three prongs)
i removed the 101 fix and it still shuts off.

Please help.

noobiedoo,

1.8V Regulator, Check that there is not short in 1,8V line.

Hmmm interesting picture you posted. It says that you can’t touch 1,8V regulator whit xecuter probe1?

I know that xecuter is using max3232 smd chip for ttl...
Strange i have to look in to it... because if i build home made "max3232"/transistor reader i can probe 1,8V regulator and nothing will happen except bad serial.

Xecuter can use maxim as power source to boost the pulse because there is led so this myte be design flaw again. (Flaw in noob area not in normal use)
They don’t always make the noob friendly things fancy led’s wont help if the drive is dead.

If  someone haves this probe1 measure gnd and probe pin and tell me the voltage.
