I put all the repairs in place, double checked them and I cannot get the drive to eject, still haven't put it in the xbox yet.. In jungle flasher it says No Drive Detected.. Any ideas why this is happening. I tried doing it with the line connecting 101 and with it avoiding 101, when it connected 101 my power adapter wouldn't even turn on when i flicked the switch which is odd but when I removed the line and replaced it without connecting 101 my power adapter worked again. I still get no drive detected in JF though.. Here is a pic: Still having a hard time removing solder, i know it looks like crap [Edit] I tried to solder these points together, it seems I cut the line while making my cuts earlier.. I did this to repair that damage but I got the same results no drive detected. Here is a example of what I did:

Measure 3,3V to gnd. 0 ohm bad 100-105kohm good. Bridge fix is same as your jump fix Use smaller wire rj45 is good.

Here is the result: 3,3 to GND, set to x1K... RJ45 as in desolder my connections and solder in the wire from RJ45 on all points? Now I am using parts cut off resistors.

u need to reattach 101 either by rejoining it to its trace, or jumping that trace to the other 3.3 line (same as the jumper wire in the mra hack)

If I connected 101 using the jump method I previously used would that be the same as returning the drive to stock? Would I need to remove any of the fixes I have made already or just add the jump?

Wow this is such a hassle!! I did your suggestion and put the jumper wire back in place... Now the crappy news, I have a short somewhere, I cannot for the life of me figure out where. I have desoldered every piece and soldered it back along the way checking the maximus power unit, everytime the chip on the power unit gets hot FAST so I am unable to figure out where the short lies. I uploaded a BUNCH of pics from all sorts of angles of my PCB, mostly the work area. Here is the folder with all the pics in it: http://img64.imageshack.us/g/p9090638.jpg/Please tell me how to track down this short, this is getting a little old.

Hi folks,
I'm a dumbass and lifted 101 and 122 pads while installing xecuter LT switch. (another 'oh, hey, I've done basic soldering before, this cant be that hard!' guy)
I'm looking at reply #21, and finding it absolutely incomprehensible as to what things need to be bridged.
Ideally, I'd like to install the xecuter LT switch, just by bridging points on it to different places. I have an acquaintance at work who can probably do the fix, but only I can explain exactly what he needs to bridge, and he probably wouldn't be willing to do it twice (to read the f\w, then to return it to normal operation).
Would one of you kind souls be willing to explain it to me?

Actually your MRA 3,3v line fix was ok so you can solder... Pad 122 3,3v line was grounded... pads gone... if you focus you can mod these drives. I have posted the l-o board back and home made probe. Your awg 30 wire was ok, use it when you mod the drives.

Vampire... I don’t have extractor. Still nice to see how it is build. My probe is more advanced. Silicon wire, Chrome map pin, metal resistors 20,15 ohm, one jumper, PCB and Molex. Ps. how much normal Big Mac meal cost in us? I am hungry… going to get some snacks.

My board is in similar shape, 101 & 122 are dead. If I understand correctly, I can mirror that fix to return the drive to working condition, but I don't understand how to do the dump?

enneract, Give me hires pictures... otherwise i can’t help you, because I don’t know what is going on. Look closely krazyone2006 L-O board pad 122 it is missing but the connection is still there. You can see there is cupper in the hole it means you can easy probe it. I dumped the drive using my easy probe method. (resistor + map pin and 3,3V line fix)

If you can’t solder forget these products. How many times you think that you need to read your firmware?? Answer is one and good backup of the .bin. I have developed more easier method use it. (Reply #66 page4) Start whit 20ohm resistor and if it is no go use 15ohm resistor.

man some people really mess up there boards so so so bad.
I don't understand why people attempt this if they don't have experience.
Even the trace exposing and cutting is bad looking before they even get to the soldering or their trace cutting and exposing messes up stuff before they get to soldering.
I use a dremel tool on low speed with a diamond tip engraver to expose traces, just lightly run over those areas with the dremel to expose the trace then I brush away the green dust. Once I see the trace is exposed enough I then use a dremel cutting wheel to cut my traces. Its not that hard to do, but people cutting these things with razor blades, I wouldnt use one to cut the traces.

Jep, More good tips are always welcome. We should not give the middle finger to those who have burned their own boards. More tip’s / repair pictures more working X360 consoles. I know that soldering is same thing as riding a bike ones you learn it you don’t forget it. Practice more whit broken pc or what ever motherboards, Make cut’s repair them and you will be pro. Firmware is free, XBR is free and the tools are free so why not also repair info. If you need Liteon no edited Hi-Res pictures go to: http://dream.pic.fi/kuvat/Xbox+360/Liteon+HiRes/
