hi dream

i have a 74850c here
it had ix lt v1.1 on
trying to update to LT+ for the new games like u do

when dumping the FW with JF i get all 7777777777777777777777
now when testing points on the board i get a short from the points in the pic

im sure the other point is GND

any help is greatly apreciated mate

i have another board here and them points are not shorted
so im thinking somethgin has gone somewhere.

the drive picks up in JF and i get status 72 and chip/drive properties just fine.
just get the 7777777777777777 Sad grrrrr

thanks

dave
Do you have the original fw (or the one that has correct dvd key)? If not, try to press CTRL+F12 on Jungleflasher, it should open a list of dvd keys. If that is empty too, try to check the JF log.

The reason (most likely) why the dvd key is 777777777777... is because you didn't copy the original dvd key to lt+.

if you couldn't fix it by fixing it, then you can't fix it.  maybe try letting one of us take a shot at it.
Hi Shaggy, I dont know if you were replying to me or not, I havent attempted to "fix it" yet. I would like to fit it with the lt switch using wires, not direct to the board. Where would I attach the wire instead of the lifted pad?
I've seen the diag with the wire from the resistor under the resin to  r207 - do I need to fit that wire first to get a dump or after the dump?
Cheers

Don't use LT switch honestly. They're way to hard to solder.

Just make cuts, solder wires, dump, flash desolder wires and continue your day. Takes roughly 20 minutes.

Hi guys !

My problem. Liteon dvd not detected in jf and dosflasher. I assumed its something with the board on liteon. The problem is i was trying to flash the drive, but i couldnt even get to the jf,beacuse of short circuit. Now my Ck3 lite is screwed and the dvd rom too. And im without key for new dvd.
I tried this repair but still no luck. Still not detected in jf. Pushed the key on the switch and leave it on for about 10 sec, nothing.

Please if anybody had any suggestion i would be really happy. All i want is the key of my dvd rom.

Here are the pics. Soldering is done by my friend who knows how to solder.

Help me,please !

Hey fellas!
I cut the MRA traces and then accidentally reversed the power which blew R207 and R204.
After reversing the cut traces, jumping R207 & R204 and adding 3 volts to C03 I have some power again.

If I turn on the xbox with the drive open it closes and the motor continues to try to spin and gets hot due to resistance.
I have checked all voltages and they seem to be within tolerance... Any ideas?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Ok brand new to this forum. I purchased two new Xbox Jasper Elite consoles and decided to try modding one of the new Liteon 9 series drives. To make a long story short I purchased LT 1.5 switches, CK3Pro and CK3Pro Probe II. I made the mistake of trying the LT Switch first and managed to lift a few pads in the process. I've not had any issues in updating firmware on the Benq drives I keep around as spares, but I would like to retrieve /dump the firmware on this drive to make that switch out possible. The drive was recognized in bios and in Jungle Flasher prior to the dvd board modifications. I've spent the last two days reading this site and trying various wire work around solutions and I've gotten nowhere. I would appreciate some assistance. I'd like opinions on if the board or drive key can be salvaged. Much appreciate any assistance.
See the link for pictures of the botched board.

ok first i did the vampire with rebuild board, i did it like in 10 min very easy following instructions, everything went fine, read, good key and flash, i press outro ata and put it together, connect back to pc and jungle flasher detect the drive good so far, i left the drive on my desk to put the xbox together in the morning, when i put it together the power light of the xbox stay flashing all the time like i was trying to eject, i turn it off and on and the same, so i went back to the pc with the drive and jungle flasher, and the drive does not eject, im like wtf so i keep playing around, and found that if i put the vampire on pad 101 on the rebuild board the drives eject and does get detected by JF, if i dont touch the pad doesnt do anything, any advice , any help?

So ive been reading through here for the past couple days trying to find some tips and answers.  I have found lots of great stuff but I have an issue I can't seem to fix any maybe you all can guide me a little.  I have a virgin lite on 9345, flashed it by way of mra, put it back together and got 3 rings. I rechecked my traces and now there is no red ring. What I have now is the flashing green eject light.  I have checked my connections for continuity and they seem fine, when I check the 2 points listed above with my meter set at 2M I get nothing. Could this just be a case of a bad flash or have I fried my chip? I don't think I need to have the drive powered to check the resistance but maybe a possibility.  The only one I haven't tried is putting a jumper in and cutting a trace and checking the resistance as stated a few pages back. I've read that it may be a short somewhere but I've put my tester on the connections and the ground spot and got nothing so I'm at a loss.  If you guys have any suggestions or tips I would really appreciate it.  I can put up pics of the board and an edited version of the JF log if that would help. And I have already flashed the drive successfully according to JF. Thanks

The key from this drive was already dumped so just wanna know if theres a way to make it work again

When turned it on , smoke can from the lines and they burned.... opened and discovered that the solder drom 3.3v was touching the ground

Where can i connect to bridge those burned points?
